Funding Areas

Science House provides funding and equipment grants for science and math educational programs around the world. Our primary focus is to provide support to programs that introduce science education in underserved areas, and provide opportunities for exceptional science students to futher their scientific studies.  We are particularly interested in programs that use creative methods to get kids excited about science.

Support from the Science House Foundation can come in the form of equipment donations, scholarships to science and math tournaments, book giveaways, and more.  We also help to connect organizations with advisors and other resources where possible.

We have a firm dedication to helping ideas blossom into sustainable programs to bring the sciences to children everywhere.

For more information about the type of support we provide, you can read through our grant history here.

examples- organizations that bring the excitement of science to students, especially underserved e.g. biobus; programs that extend keen/gifted students e.g. book giveaway, math tournaments in Ghana; we also supplement educational resources for schools in need, e.g. science books for school libraries in US and overseas; and fund activities that are exceptionally creative and just plain awesome e.g. STM.

Please note that while there are no hard and fast rules as to what we will or will not fund, those projects that best inspire a passion for science among students will generally be received favorably. What is important is not so much your experience with philanthropic projects but the creativity that you apply to the project.
